VICTOR SEDUN
Born: Apr 10, 1934
Date of Passing: Oct 08, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR SEDUN April 10, 1934 - October 8, 2017 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Victor. Dad was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba to Russian immigrant parents, lived his early years in Winnipeg and brought his wife and three young children to British Columbia in the early 1970s. After having been a draughtsman for Westburne in Manitoba, he switched careers in British Columbia, starting off in construction and ending his working career in real estate, which ended up being his true passion. Truth be told, he especially loved the social aspect of the job, celebrating each sale with a lovely dinner and a few bottles of wine. Dad was ever the socialite, always welcoming people into his home with sincerity and warmth and was still smiling the last day of his life. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Katherine, his brothers, George, Chester and Orest, and his wife of 41 years, June. Dad is survived by his three children, Barbara, Paul (wife Linnea) and Joan (husband Stephan Poethke), his six grandchildren, Cassandra (husband Josh Strauss), Sam, Jacob, Hannah, Erich and Jack, whom he loved more than life itself, as well as brothers, Jim and Leonard, sister Leah Taylor, sisters-in-law, Mary and Pat, as well as many cherished and loved nieces and nephews. Dad spent the last eight months of his life at Zion Park Manor, a nursing residence that felt like home. Dad was cared for, nurtured and loved at Zion Park Manor and we will be forever grateful. We will miss you, Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's memory to Zion Park Manor, Surrey, BC. "God give us strength. Strength to hold on and strength to let go. Amen."

My sincere condolences on the loss of Victor. I remember him only from when I was a preteen, but I do remember Victor being kind of in charge. There was Victor, Len & Orest Sedun, and Orest, Len & Victor Kowalewich. Our parents also settled first in Gilbert Plains. The ties that sometimes bind relatives are more than physical. Rest in Peace Victor, we are all thinking of you and remembering you for the person you were. - Posted by: Victor Kowalewich (Cousin) on: Oct 21, 2017
