LADIMIR (LADD) WAYNE SHIRTLIFFE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ladimir Wayne Shirtliffe, of Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, after a battle with cancer on September 27, 2017. Ladd was born November 2, 1944 to Hector and Wilma Shirtliffe (nee Hubka) of the Elm Bank, MB district. Ladd received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. Following University, Ladd worked for Farm Credit Corporation, after 13 years with Farm Credit, Ladd left to start farming in the Ochre River area. Ladd retired from farming in 2007 and moved to Ste. Rose du Lac. Ladd married Jeanette Legault from Elie, MB in 1967. They had two sons, Kevin (Natachea) and Curt (Shalena). Ladd was blessed with four grandchildren that he adored: Owen, Coral, Keanen and Paige. Ladd was predeceased by his brother Robert; three brothers-in-law, Arcel, Raymond and Orval Legault; two sisters-in-law, Marge and Joan Legault, and one nephew Quinton Harder. Celebration of Ladd's life was held on October 3, 2017, from Sneath Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Ryan Raffray officiating. A private interment service will be held at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Ladd to the Ste. Rose Jolly Club, Box 376, Ste Rose du Lac, MB, R0L 1S0.
