Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD (ERNIE) GOODCHILD On October 7, 2017, Ernie Goodchild passed away at Concordia Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret. He will be missed by his sons Larry (Claire) and Doug (Charlene), grandchildren Beau, Jackie, Cody, Calyn and Jory, and great-grandson Cooper. Ernie was born July 12, 1925 in Winnipeg. He worked for C.N.R. as a carman for more than 45 years. Ernie spent every summer from a young age at a family property on Eagle Lake in Northwest Ontario. Ernie and Margaret had many stories of family gatherings in the original cabin, fishing, and shore lunches with the grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
