ALBERT CHARLES CONTOIS On Friday, October 20, 2017 Albert Charles Contois, aged 85 years, passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre with his son and daughter-in-law at his side. Albert resided in Winnipeg and is survived by his son Charles (Rose); Cathy (Bill), Ruth (all of Winnipeg); many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; sister Mary (Bob) - Ontario; brothers, Laverne and Gerry of Ontario; and brother-in-law Don of Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Rose Contois; his wife Adele, Debbie and Billy of Winnipeg; sisters, Estelle, Lorraine, Rita and brother Phil, all of Ontario. Dad was born May 27, 1932 at Midland, ON. He worked for many years on cargo ships sailing on the Great Lakes. He met Adele, married, and moved to Winnipeg to raise the family. He did various jobs until he secured a position with the City of Winnipeg for 25 years until his retirement. Dad enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. He was a Montreal Canadian fan and loved to watch hockey. There will be an intimate gathering of family and friends for a graveside memorial service that will be held at a later date. We would like to thank Dr. Rivard and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for the outstanding care given to our father.
