  • I’m proud to say that I knew Dunc for 40 plus years, I always considered him to be a special friend, we had so many good times together! Dunc always greeted people with his friendly smile. At our Headigley Hockey Pool Draft last night, which has being running for over 40 years, Dunc’s name came up and several of us original “poolies” exchanged stories of the great times we had with Dunc, he received a well deserved “toast”. My condolences go out to the family, he will be sadly missed. Respectfully, “Spinner”. - Posted by: Russell Britton (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2017

  • Jack and Norman Meade of Manigotagan send condolences to Duncan's family. We will always remember Dunc as a friend and also as a hockey buddy as young men growing up in and around Bissett. We always looked up to Duncan because of his physical strength, the good hockey player he was and the good spirit of looking out for us when we needed it. Rest in peace our friend. - Posted by: Norman Mede (Friend) on: Oct 26, 2017

  • So, so sad to hear the news of Duncan's passing. I would have liked to have visited once again - but distance prevents that. Another member of the Bissett community has left us all too soon. "Those we love can never be more than a thought away, For as long as there's a memory, they live in our hearts to stay." Our condolences to his family and dear friends. May the peace of the One who holds us gently in our grief be with you all. Hugs, Marlene and Faye (Hogue) - Posted by: Marlene (Hogue) Oussoren (Longtime Bissett friend) on: Oct 25, 2017

  • I have known Duncan Rousseau since 1973. He, as is well documented, was with the WHA Jets and I had just started my career in the Hotel Business. Basically, way back then, out of "nowhere", I received a call from Dunc, asking if he, his wife Georgina and a few other players from the Jets could stop in after the home games on Fridays or Saturdays when they played. I was, of course, thrilled, that these hockey "stars' had chosen my place to get together. The friendship began almost immediately. After his Jet's days, Dunc found Molson Breweries, a company that, at the time, loved sports people, and with Dunc's outgoing personality, they became a perfect match..... And guess what, he became my Molson rep, and the lifelong friendship was cemented. These past few years have been tough for Dunc, his family and his friends......but Dunc's positive attitude and good nature would not let him get down........a "man" amongst men, he never complained to me. In fact was always asking about my family's health and my own. What a guy! He will be sadly missed!! Rest in peace Dunc, wherever you are.................. - Posted by: Keith Dangerfield (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2017
