ROBERT (BOB) DENNIS HENDERSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Dennis Henderson, surrounded by family on October 24, 2017 at the Asper Building in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Heather, his children Kevin, Bobby Jr. (Sandy), Crystal (Larry) and Anthony. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the joy of his life his grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his mother Jemima, father Macrae and brothers, Russell, Stanley, John, Benny, Frank and Phillip. Bob was a residental school survivor but never let that experience stop him from living life to the fullest. Bob spent his life doing many different jobs, but spent 30 years working alongside his brother Phillip as carpenters. His greatest job by far was raising his children and watching his grandchildren grow. Bob loved to joke and laugh with everyone he knew, right up till the very end. His mischeivious nature was loved by all who knew him. The family would like to thank all of the nursing staff and doctors at the Asper Building who provided exceptional care and support during his stay. We would also like to thank the dialysis nurses and doctors at the Pine Falls Hospital who spent the past eight years caring for him. Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Anglican Church in his home community of Sagkeeng. Bob will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Funeral arrangements in care of Sanderson Funeral Home, Ltd. 1336 Main St., 204-880-3924.

  • It was with heavy hearts to say farewell to Uncle Bob as it's never good-bye Uncle, we shall meet again. You have left a beautiful family who will carry on your ways, and maybe one of them will pick up your mischievous sense of humour as well. Your journey here has ended but another has opened in the Spirit World to meet your loved ones who have passed on... your mom and dad, and all your brothers and sisters...it's a joyous celebration in that beautiful garden we call Heaven. Rest In Peace Uncle as you will always be missed and loved. - Posted by: Brenda Medeiros (Niece) on: Oct 30, 2017
