I was terribly saddened to learn of Irene’s passing. That dark-haired little pixie had an infectious giggle that never failed to make me smile when we worked together at Seaway/Midwest in the late 70s and early 80s. She had some of the funniest stories that would invariably crack up whoever was at the table with her in the cafeteria during breaks. I worked with Irene during her time that she volunteered at the Oncology Dept. at the Concordia. We so appreciated her dedication and professionalism as a volunteer and she always was so good with the patients.
