I have known Jim and Donna for several years at OBS where she worked as a speech assistant in the resource department. Donna was a very compassionate, smart, energetic and hardworking. She enjoyed her time offering her students support, encouragement and empathy. Donna was a very friendly, approachable, honest person who was easy to talk with and share a laugh or two. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have known her. Donna cherished her family and my thoughts are with them on this difficult day. - Posted by: Cindy Sperber (collegue) on: Nov 06, 2017

Donna was my friend. I met her and immediately knew she was such a great lady by the way she was everyday. She had a gentle spirit and was always asking me how I was feeling. She was also concerned about the community we lived in and would listen as I told her the way things are in town. She always had a lot of good things to say about my family to me and complimented us because she knew them and saw them day to day. I'm really going to miss her generosity and kindness. She was an inspiring mom and strong example of what a fighter is. She had a big heart and she loved life to the fullest. I am so glad I got a chance to know her and her family. She will always be in my heart. Love you Donna! I know that you are with God now and I'm happy you are not in any more pain. The angels have you with them and you are in heaven! :) - Posted by: Natalie Thomas (Friend) on: Nov 04, 2017

Rest in peace Donna. Though our friendship was cut short, I do appreciate the time you spent with me talking just about anything - life in general, motherhood and children. You were supposed to work with me in my class this school year, and I was really looking forward to be working with you. Two days, that's all we had working together. On the third day, that was Friday around noon, we met at the hallway and you told me that you will be gone for awhile because you are on medical leave. I even asked you if you were alright, and you said yes I'm alright. And you've never been back since then....the first time I heard that you were sick, that you had cancer, I cried because it was so unreal. Until now it still hasn't sink in that you are not around anymore....thank you for that so short a time we spent together. I know you are now in a safe place. Til we meet again. God bless your soul... - Posted by: Arlene Cayabyab (Colleague) on: Nov 04, 2017

Donna came into my life 16 years ago 6 into remission from her first battle with cancer. Sadly cancer decided to come back to claim my best friend, partner and mother of her 2 girls and River our 5 1/2 year old son. Donna loved working with kids and was an educational assistant at Oscar Blackburn School in South Indian Lake Her energy, laugh and smile were contagious. She faced her death with coyrage and strength. I know she is looking out for all her family especially River. Love you forever with all my heart Jim - Posted by: Jim Robson (Husband) on: Nov 04, 2017
