IRENE MARGARET DE GRAFF (nee WERRELL) Irene de Graff passed away October 28, 2017. She was born on July 18, 1919 in the Rhondda Valley, Wales and came to Canada with her parents at the age of six. She worked for several years for the Hudson's Bay Company until she married Frank de Graff on June 18, 1941. For many years she was a homemaker on the family farm, still finding time to volunteer as a swimming instructor for the local YMCA. She also enjoyed many years with the Hawthorne Women's Club as well as her volunteer work with the Middlechurch Nursing Home Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Derek (Elly), Dodie (Gord) and Jim (Candace), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private interment at Elmwood Cemetery has already taken place. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the charity of your choice.
