NANCY ANN MAGEE July 8, 1962 - November 2, 2017 Passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by friends, family and her beloved dogs, Harper and Scout. She was predeceased by her parents Wynnell and Donald Magee. Nancy is survived by her three sisters, Barbara Magee Turner (Richard), Janice Jocelyn (Larry) and Susan Madzik (Jozef), and nieces and nephews, Courtney and Andrew Turner, Madi and Brett Jocelyn, Caitlyn and Adrian Madzik. Nancy was born in Winnipeg and spent most of her formative years there. Nancy was a highly accomplished athlete, excelled in badminton, playing at the Winnipeg Winter Club and in the 1970s successfully represented Canada at the Pan Am Games. She attended the University of British Columbia obtaining a Masters Degree in History and then settled in Montreal for some years to pursue her career. Nancy was bilingual in Russian and worked for the government for many years. In the early 1990s she moved to Mississauga and made many dear friends and was happy working in sports retail. She was an avid sports fan (Chelsea!), loved all her fur-babies, read mystery books voraciously, cared deeply for the misfortunate, and had a fantastic sense of humour. Loved dearly and will be missed by many. Many thanks to her special group of friends Beena, Julie, Raylene, Kim R. and Kim H. Special thanks to her amazing caregivers from Home Care Assistance. As per her wishes she has been cremated and there will be no ceremony. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467. Expressions of sympathy to the Humane Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com to view Nancy's memorial
