PATRICK ANTHONY HUMPHRIES Peacefully, at his residence, on November 2, 2017, our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Patrick Anthony Humphries passed away. Patrick was born in London, England on September 1, 1960, the youngest son of Patrick (Paddy) and Eileen (Rogers) Humphries. In June 1967, Patrick and his family immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada. The family resided in the Weston area until Patrick was in his early 20's. Patrick made many lifelong friends from the Weston area and was always very proud of his neighbourhood. Patrick graduated from Tec Voc High School in 1979, immediately after High School Graduation Patrick began his career at Carte Electric. Patrick was employed at Carte Electric for over 30 years, until illness forced his retirement in 2010. Patrick excelled in all sports throughout school and into his adult years, he loved to play baseball, hockey, broom ball and football. Patrick was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Patrick married Colleen Chatterley in 1983, two children would soon follow, daughter, Jade and son, Wesley. In 2000, Patrick was afflicted with kidney disease, regardless of his affliction, Patrick continued to work and attempted to keep life for his family as normal as possible. Patrick was predeceased by his parents, many of his relatives from Ireland and England. Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Colleen; daughter Jade (Andrew) Reimer; son Wesley (Stephanie Pochert); and grandson, Jaxson Reimer; brother Edward (Joanne); mother and father-in-law, Mickey and Albert Chatterley; brothers-in-law, Dwight (Joanne) Chatterley and Derrick (Vicki) Chatterley, nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Vancouver, many relatives in Ireland and England. Patrick and all of his family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Dialysis Unit for their care and compassion over these past years. On Sunday, November 5, 2017, a come and go will be hosted at Patrick and Colleen's home between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick's name to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba, 1 - 452 Dovercourt Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4.
