  • What a fine teacher and even more importantly, a great human being. I was fortunate to know him in the mid 60's at Norberry School and he always took a personal interest in the lives and well being of his students. Sincere condolences to his family. • Mr C was my teacher at Hastings in the mid 80s. He was a wonderful teacher and one of my all time favourites. He was kind, patient and helpful. He was funny and sweet. I feel lucky that I ended up in his classes in junior high. It is such a difficult age to teach and he was so good at his job. I know that he made a difference in my life and in many students' lives. - Posted by: Laura Lesyk (Former student) on: Nov 09, 2017

  • Please accept our sincerest condolances on your great loss! Will always remember the fun times we had growing up. The horse back rides to explore our area and the hunting trips with Ernie and Frank. Rest in peace cousin. - Posted by: Helen and Earl Mailman (cousin) on: Nov 09, 2017

  • As a former grade 9 student at Norberry School, Mr.Cicierski was my home room teacher. There has never been a question in my mind that he was one of the best; both as a teacher and a person. He was the type of individual who never gave up on you. As a student I was never expected to go very far. I graduated from three Universities later in life and could not have done it without the foundations that individuals like Mr. Cicierski instilled when I was young - Posted by: Robert James Mackidd (Former Student) on: Nov 08, 2017

  • Sorry to see this notice. My sincere condolences to Ernie’s family. Ernie was my teacher in grade seven which would have been in 1957. I lost track of him after that but in later years heard that he was (I believe) the principal at Hastings school where my Grandchildren attended school. He was a fine Man, a great teacher and friend a friend to all. I am proud to have known him. - Posted by: Alex Stratton (Former student) on: Nov 08, 2017
