JEAN DOROTHY HESTER (nee PICKETT) Born October 28, 1926 Jean passed away peacefully November 2, 2017. Jean is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Douglas, her parents, and son-in-law Brian. Jean will be missed by her three children, Martin (Diane), Jennifer and Kathryn (Bob), along with many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Jean was born in Tottenham, England and lived in England until 1967, when she and Doug immigrated to Winnipeg with their three children. Jean fought through health issues a number of years ago and defied the odds of what had been dealt her way. She was strong, stubborn but lovable, as family and nurses remember her. The family would like to thank Meadowood Manor for their compassion and care over the last nine years Jean spent under their watch. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Meadwood Manor at 1:00 p.m. All parking at St. Vital Arena - 580 St. Anne's Rd.
