VICTORIA PATRICIA JOHNSTON On October 22, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital, Victoria Patricia Johnston passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Predeceased by Jim, her husband of sixty years, she is survived by her daughters Laura, Anne (Sid) of Terrace, BC, Lynne (Steve) of Billericay, England, her sons Don (Karen) of Brandon and William (Stacey) of Chilliwack, BC. She leaves behind to remember her, her grandchildren Graham and Glen Johnston, David, Jonathan and Amy Peltier, Lloyd Davis, Kate and Thomas Johnston as well as her great-grandchildren, Aaron Bell-Peltier, Avery and Riley Johnston and Elena and Ava Peltier. These third and fourth generations of family were a source of delight to her whether it was visits, emails, Facebook or Skype; she followed them all through their coming into this world, their efforts at school, sports or music and smiled proudly. She also leaves to mourn her passing brother Jerry and sisters Buddy, Fran, Trudy and Terry as well as many nieces and nephews. Pat was a loyal friend, always ready for another joke. She was a sport enthusiast; she loved her Blue Jays and loved phoning her sister, May, during the games to make comments about the plays. She was honoured to be a life-time member of the Catholic Women's League, an association where she developed 60 year friendships with others. She lived a full active life doing her bit to leave the world a better place, one relationship at a time. We will miss her. The family thanks St. Boniface Home Care, for their weekly assistance for Mom's needs and the dedicated staff at St. Boniface Hospital in Mom's last weeks; those on 6E, Intensive Care on 2 and 5E in her last few days. In keeping with Pat's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a funeral service at Our Lady of Victory Parish Church at the corner of Osborne St. and Arnold Ave. at 10:30 am on November 17. Please use the side entrance. For those needing an elevator, please use the Front Entrance. Pat's friends are invited to join the family for a reception in the Church Hall after the service. If friends so desire, donations can be made to Chez Nous Drop In Centre at 676 Main St, which provides a welcoming respite during the day, to men and women of the North Main community.

  • Rest in Peace Auntie Pat. I'll never forget our time in Scarborough at the wedding. We laughed a whole bunch. Lots of love. - Posted by: Judy Brewer (Niece) on: Nov 10, 2017
