WAYNE L. HENSCHEL The family of Wayne L. Henschel, a long time resident of Flin Flon, MB, are greatly saddened to announce he passed away October 23, 2017, at the age of 74, after losing his battle with cancer. Wayne was born December 7, 1943 to parents Jessie and Lawrence Henschel of River Hills, MB. After graduating from Gordon Bell High School he went on to work for the Hudson Bay Company in South Indian Lake and Cross Lake, MB. Returning home, Wayne was employed by AECL in Pinawa, MB where he completed an Instrumentation Mechanic apprenticeship. Wayne also met Donna his future wife at this time. They went on to marry in 1967 and have two sons. Wayne and family moved to Flin Flon, MB in 1977 where he would work for Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting for 25 years till he retired in 2002. After retirement Wayne worked in several places across Western Canada in the oil and mining industries. Wayne is survived by his two sons, three grandsons, and his three siblings. He now rests in peace alongside the love of his life Donna, and parents Jessie and Lawrence. A service will be held for Wayne, 1:00 p.m. on November 25 at the Whiteshell Baptist Church in Seven Sisters, MB. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
