GILLES GOSSELIN April 17, 1945 November 10, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilles Gabriel Gosselin at his home, with family by his side. Gilles was born at St. Boniface Hospital, to Emma and Gabriel Gosselin. He was predeceased by his brothers, Henri and Claude. He is survived by his wife, Fran Friesen; his daughters from his first marriage, Chantal Wiebe and Julie Palmer (Todd); stepchildren, Winona Burgess (Marc) and Lance Burgess; and grandchildren, James, Erica, Ryan, Auckland, Paige, Grace, Dagan and Layla. Gilles will be deeply missed by his sisters, Rachel Roy (Léo), Monique Chouinard (Gérald), Dolorés Gosselin (Albert), Claire Lajoie (Ernest), Linda Gosselin (Reg) and Nicole Turenne (Jacques); his brothers, Marc, Michel (Rachelle), and Guy (Pauline); and by his sister-in-law Simone. Gilles will be remembered for his uncomplicated approach to life. He enjoyed being outside and tinkering on "The Farm" with his many projects on the go, fuelled by an endless supply of energy. He applied the same energy to the over 40 years he spent working concrete for Supercrete, Lafarge and City Mix. More than anything he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, watching their various sports and sharing his love for the outdoors and safe work. We will miss his helping spirit and unconditional support and guidance. "GUYS! Come on." A celebration of Gilles's life will be held at the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba, 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

  • Ti-Gilles was not only a cousin but I thought of him as a very good friend. I will always cherish and remember the good times spent with Gilles, his brothers, sisters and my aunt and uncle, when I stayed on their farm in St. Malo during the summer. We both joined the RCAF within weeks of each other and spent some time together in basic training at CFB St. Jean and CFB Borden in 1963. We reunited during my posting to Winnipeg in the early 80's, at which time my wife and I socialized with Gilles, his wife, and young family. We had some pleasant get-togethers with them and it was always a good time. I always thought of Ti-Gilles as a kind, considerate, quiet man who had a very friendly disposition. If not for my constant travelling due to postings, and if we had retired in Winnipeg, I know we would have stayed close. Please accept my sincere condolences on behalf of my wife Donna and I. We know Gilles' love will forever surround his family. God Bless. - Posted by: Ti-Pierre and Donna Feuillatre (Cousin) on: Nov 15, 2017
