Date of Passing: Nov 09, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT BRUCE FRAME RET. RCMP INSPECTOR The family of Rob Frame is shocked and deeply saddened to announce his sudden passing on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the young age of 52 years. Rob is lovingly survived by his mother Gayle; his devoted wife Carole, of 24 years of marriage; adoring children Austin, Hayley, and Ryan; sister Meredith; brothers-in-law Kevin (Shellie), Jim (Karen) and sister-in-law Bev (Kirk), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rob is also survived by his birth siblings Alayna, Marni, Brian, and Leslie. He was predeceased by his father George; in-laws Ray and Shirley Cheyne; and nephew Riley Cheyne. On March 22, 1965 Rob was born in Winnipeg and grew up playing rugby, baseball and truly loved the sport of hockey. At the age of 23, Rob became a proud member of the RCMP, serving in North West Territories, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, achieving the rank of Inspector. He was the consummate professional in his career and lived by the core values of integrity, honesty, professionalism, compassion, respect, and accountability. These are the values he instilled in his children. Throughout the years Rob was awarded many accommodations and service related awards of which he was very proud. Rob loved camping at Clear Lake and kayaking, fishing with his buddies, golfing with his sons, and dragging us to Goldeyes games. He loved the Winnipeg Jets and was forced into cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in order to marry Carole. Rob loved watching all three of his children play hockey and was involved in coaching all three kids, and wasn't beyond getting kicked out of the odd hockey game as well. He was President of the Estevan Bruins and also served as the Vice President with the Dauphin Kings. A celebration of Rob's life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, Winnipeg. Special thank you to St. Boniface Hospital, paramedics, and staff for their endless efforts. Also, we wish to thank all our friends and family for their love and support at this most difficult time. In lieu of flowers, we graciously ask donations be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Slain Peace Officers Fund. Sadden and shocked with Rob’s passing. I got to know Rob when I was working in Aboriginal Policing in Saskatchewan and he was well respected by colleagues and the community. We met up briefly again in Manitoba, before his retirement. I have good memories of Rob and enjoyed getting to know him. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and with Rob - Posted by: Dwight Wilson (Colleague ) on: Nov 17, 2017

So sorry to hear of Rob's untimely passing. I didn't know Rob personally, but my heart goes out to you Gayle and to your family during this difficult time. George was a friend and valued mentor to me during my time in "D" Division, and I am sure that Rob possessed many of his best qualities. Know that my thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Jim Hislop (Colleague) on: Nov 17, 2017

This was such a shock to hear of Rob's passing. I knew him in Saskatchewan, working for him on the odd occasion when there was something going on at his Detachment, which was next to our area. He was great to deal with and always took the time to stop and see how you were. My condolences to the family. He was a good man. - Posted by: Rob Atteberry (Colleague) on: Nov 16, 2017
