Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNE GREENWOOD Lorne Irwin Greenwood, of Markdale, passed away peacefully, with family, at Lee Manor, in Owen Sound, ON on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Dearly loved companion of Evelyn Hicks. Loving father of Lorne D., Richard (Susan) and Kathy. Proud grandfather of Ashley, Heather, Neil, Caitlin, Min and Katie, and great-grandfather of Jade, Hadley and Dylan. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen Greenwood (nee Donaldson), his parents, Christopher and Helena Greenwood, his son Christopher, and his siblings, Grace (Nick), Clifford and Verna (Les). Lorne will also be missed by Shauna, nieces and nephews, plus all those that he shared his gift of music with over many decades. Lorne was born, raised and married in Winnipeg, Manitoba and had the privilege of raising his family surrounded by the tundra of the Arctic, the grain fields and big sky of the prairies and the lakes and forests of Ontario. A funeral service for Lorne Greenwood will be held at the Annesley United Church, 82 Toronto St., Markdale, ON, on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Audrey Brown officiating. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. prior to the service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Milton. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada or Annesley United Church as an expression of sympathy.
