KATHLEEN (KITTY) THISTLEWOOD (nee CHERNIAK) Kit Thistlewood passed away on November 21, 2016, in Bromley, England, aged 82 years, after a brave and private battle with cancer. Born and raised as a proud Ukrainian Canadian in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she emigrated to the U.K. in 1952 and lived throughout the British Isles until settling in West Sussex. She was an elementary school teacher and loved cooking, singing, travel, meeting people, and walking. She was preceded by her sister Irene Ritchie, brothers Tommy and Bobby Cherniak. She is survived by sister Julianne Reimer of Winnipeg, and by son Howard (wife Martina), daughter Sharon, grandchildren Vicky (husband Stuart), Alexander, Benjamin, Simon, and great-grand-daughters Amelia and Charlotte, in Canada, France, and England.
