In 2005 I met Diane. At the Winnipeg HSC. She was fierce. She was stubborn. She was impactful. She was honest and she told me I was inspiring. I have never forgotten her. I have always wondered about her. I’m so sorry that my search for her led me here. I continue to struggle. In a way only she and a few others know. But she impacted my life. That’s just who she was. Impactful. So to her son: your mom was a warrior. And you were the shining light in her life. Burn as bright as she did. - Posted by: Krista McKeown (Friend) on: Mar 07, 2019

Close since we were little. One fight that I even remember......glad we made up. I will miss you Diane Ruth, you have no idea how much. Part of me is relieved that you are out of your physical and emotional pain, but most of me, just wants you back so we can talk about it and I can help to make you feel better. Sweet soul, gentle soul, just wanting help. I am glad I never left your side. We are one. Love you so much. - Posted by: Dori Cohen (Sister) on: Nov 27, 2017

She was one of the first people who saw me and not my white cane (aside from my friends and family). I'll never forget her. She had called my Jr High looking for a babysitter for her 3 year old son Eli. After the interview she told me that I got the job as I was the only one that got onto the floor to play cars with him. I cared for him up until the day we moved, he was 9 then. Will never forget his Mom and family for believing in me. I was 15 when we met and I'm 37 now, and will never forget her for her kindness. - Posted by: Alison McCoubrey () on: Nov 26, 2017
