FRANCES MARINA MCDOUGALL (LARRY) April 13, 1935 - November 24, 2017 With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and spouse, Frances (Marina) McDougall on Friday, November 24, 2017, while surrounded by family. Marina was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg, Manitoba and worked at the Health Sciences Centre (Laundry Department) as a Secretary for 22 years, retiring in 1992. Left to cherish her memory are her loving spouse/caregiver Ken McLauchlan, her daughter Kelly, granddaughter Lexee who was the love of her life, once son-in-law Craig, and her fur baby Boo, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and incredible friends. Marina was predeceased by her by parents, Charles and Frances Larry, sister Helen Mulvey, and nieces Patricia Day and Cindy Mulvey, along with fur babies Shakira, Boots and Zoey. Mom adored her family and friends, and enjoyed spoiling her granddaughter Lexee. She spent many hours reading, liked country music and loved to dance. You could often find her winning at the local Saturday meat draws. She loved to can and bake and would share her goodies with everyone she came in contact with, including the mechanic, mailman, vet, groomer, librarian, etc. She had a heart of gold and touched the hearts of everyone she met. Cremation has taken place and as per Mom's wishes, there will be no formal service held. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Riverview Health Centre, especially the nurses and health care aides who loved her just as much. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mom's favourite charity, Darcy's Arc.
