ROBERT WERNER ERNSTBERGER Robert Werner Ernstberger passed peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 83. Robert is survived by his sister Renata; niece Marion and nephew Frank of Rastatt, Germany; his sister-in-law Rose; nephew Kenneth (Monica) and great-nieces, Emily, Sarah and Isabella of Winnipeg. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Josef and Helene Ernstberger, including his older brothers, Heinz and Franz Ernstberger. Robert was born on October 20, 1934 in Rastatt, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 alongside his brother Franz. After moving to Canada, Robert began working for Acme Bedding, with his greatest accomplishment serving 17 years with The Canadian Customs Agency. Robert was a philanthropist, traveller, photographer and lover of the arts. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 1 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Robert's Memory.
