Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) JOHN SEXSMITH January 1, 1932 - November 26, 2017 It's with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Bob Sexsmith. He left us on November 26, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob is survived by his loving wife Vera, son John (wife Joanne, son Joel), daughter Maureen (daughters Jessica West and Cynthia [Colin] Forsyth, and son Charlie), brother Don of Winnipeg, and sister Peggy of Kelowna. Born in Manitoba, Bob lived in Edmonton for the past 47 years and worked for the same company (CIL/AT Plastics, now Celanese Canada) for 37 years. The 'Human Resource Director' retired in 1995. Bob was active in sports: hockey, Little League baseball, curling, golf and particularly basketball. In 1994, the Alberta Basketball Association honoured Bob for his outstanding contributions to the sport with the Winks Willox Award. Bob had a 50 year career as a referee. A memorial service will take place in Edmonton on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14325-53 Avenue NW. The service starts at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Samaritan Society, Southgate Care Centre (4225 107 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T6J 2P1).
