PAUL LUCIEN JOSEPH VIELFAURE July 30, 1958 - November 23, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Vielfaure, devoted husband to Gisèle (née Leclerc), caring papa to Miguel (Laura), Kristine (Jon), Chantal (Bobby), Sofie (Mark) and Ghyslyn, and doting pépère to Izabela. With Gisèle and Miguel by his side, Paul was peacefully reunited with his parents (Solange and Albert) on November 23, 2017. Growing up in La Broquerie with his siblings, cousins and friends, Paul developed a great love for the community, which inspired and shaped his future philanthropic and entrepreneurial endeavours. In 1978, he wed Gisèle, the love of his life. Together with their five children, they lived a very active lifestyle. They enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, camping, swimming, entertaining and travelling to various destinations. His family was his world. Paul loved playing games and was an avid card player. He was always telling stories and jokes that he, at least, found amusing. At the age of 21, Paul bought his first hog barn from his father Albert. His family grew and his business flourished over the next few decades. After 24 years, he stepped back from the hog industry and began a new chapter in his life. Paul spearheaded important projects that helped La Broquerie and surrounding communities to thrive. There was really no one else quite like Paul. His selflessness, sense of humour and positive outlook on life defined his character. He never complained about the hand he was dealt unless he was playing cribbage. Paul was loyal to everyone he knew and always thought of others before himself. He was a man of great integrity who connected instantly with the people he met. His infectious smile and joie de vivre will be greatly missed. We will be celebrating Paul's life on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church (101 Principale Street) in La Broquerie. Viewing commences at 10:30 a.m.
