STEINUNN GERALDINE PICKERING (nee HELGASON) In loving memory of Geraldine Pickering, whose spirit now lives with our loving God. She left us on November 21, 2017, at the age of 71 years. Geraldine was predeceased by her son Robert; parents Steini and Bergros Helgason; sisters Fern and Kristjana (Kitty); and brothers Halfdan, Hallur (Halli) and Robert. She will be remembered with love by her children Ingrid Jamault (Gilbert) and Tom Pickering (Dana); daughter-in-law Janet; grandchildren Robert, Jaclyn, Erik, Jared, Corina, Owen, Avery and Graeme; brothers Carl, Gerald (twin) and Kenneth; and sisters Eleanor and Rosalyn. She also had numerous nephews and nieces, many of whom hold fond memories of Auntie Geraldine. She will also be missed greatly by her friend Peter Lepine. It was Geraldine's wish to have her body donated to science in order to further knowledge and help others. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Geraldine had many gifts: intelligence, gentleness and patience. She was an avid reader and instilled the desire to learn in her young children. Her gentleness and patience served her well in life as did her courage in her battle with her disease. Her insights provoked us. We love her and miss her. The treasures in life remind us of you. You are at peace. We have peace too. We've been blessed for having loved you.
