CATHERINE (KATIE) JANE HARPER (COOK, PRUDEN) July 16, 1935 - December 1, 2017 Tragically on the morning of December 1, 2017 Katie was taken from her family. Mom had a tremendous love for her family, friends, a great zest for life and the most wonderful sense humour. She enjoyed going to, and playing her T.V. bingo and was a very active person for someone in her advanced years. Notice I never said old or elderly, she'd haunt us for sure. Mom loved getting out every day for her daily, sometimes twice, a day walks. After her walks she would sit, relax and do her many crosswords puzzles. Ready to greet Mom on her final journey will be her daughter Kathy (1998); son Raymond (2016); and our father Robert (2004). Mom was also preceded by her adopted parents Charles and Eugeine Pruden; birth father Colin Cook; stepmother Annie; birth mother Roseanne Straight; along with bothers Bill, Stewart and Lawrence. Left to mourn Mom are her children Rosemarie, Jeffrey, Morley, Jo (Mike) and Perry (Kathy); brother Johnny (Paula) Cook; as well as her many grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Mary Jane, Leah, Alisha, Christina, Mellissa, Jeffie, Jody, Brett, Matthew, Brock, Mikey Mitch, Marcus and Mitchal. Wait there's more; great-grandchildren Jerrod, Brianna, Kaylee, Cree, Rayne, Kayl, Mason, Victor, Katherine, Braylee, Emilee, Lincoln, Darrius, Erica, Baily, Maxim, Roxas, Kalyssa, Dominic, Tiara and Madelyn Grace. Still not finished, her great-great-granddaughter Cookie. Holy Moly that's a lot of grandchildren. Mom will also be missed by her close friends Brenda, Laura, Kathy and Sophie, as well many other family and friends. I would like to take this time to thank the EMS workers and all who attended to Mom at the Health Sciences Centre Emergency. Thank you so much for making her final moments as comfortable as possible. Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, grab yourself a Kinsman Jackpot bingo, pour yourself a tall cold one, sit back relax and get ready to sweat and dab one for Mom. "So long for now Mom, Mama, Ma, Grannie, Katie, Sis. Love you and we will miss you every day now and always. Give Kathy and Raymond a big kiss and hug from us and be nice to Dad."
