ROSE LEGANCHUK It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose Leganchuk (Zenchyshyn) on December 10, 2017 with family by her side. Rose is lovingly remembered by her family, husband Edward; children and grandchildren, Leonard, Julie and Kevin, Sarah and Vladimir; Lloyd (Betty) - Barrett, Bryson and Valerie; Melvin (Shirley) - Melanie and Nick, Nikki and Michael; Pat (Michael); Ivan (Dianne) - Jordan; Janet (Terry) - Todd, Jamie; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne Drul and Alice Clark; in-laws, Jessie Pitura, John Leganchuk, Art and Lillian Leganchuk. Rose was born on August 9, 1932 in Rossburn, Manitoba and grew up in the Oakburn area, where she met and married Edward on May 1, 1949 of 68 years. They farmed and raised their children in Shoal Lake, Manitoba. She was a strong hard worker, tending to the daily farm chores, gardening, working part-time as a school bus driver and always keeping her house tidy. She also worked various jobs in Shoal Lake. They later moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family. Family was important to her. She was extremely proud of them and would put special attention to what they loved best. She enjoyed gatherings and was known for her tasty perogies and holopchi's she made on special occasions which the family looked forward to. She loved spending hours on the telephone talking to family and friends. She cherished the many friendships she made throughout the years. She loved working in her flower gardens where she would sit and enjoy the beauty of them. She took pride and joy in taking care of her plants right up until the time she took ill. Mom loved music, especially her Ukrainian music. She would listen to it on the radio or go to the Legion with dad and dance to the band's music. Mom was such a big part of our daily life that we will truly miss her being with us. She will be forever remembered in our hearts. A special thank you goes to the care team at Seven Oaks Hospital (5th Floor, Unit 3). In honour of mom's wishes, a private funeral service was held . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences can be made online at www.cropo.com "You were always there when we needed you" No task too great or small, With a loving heart and a willing hand For us you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us And for the precious times we shared, We only pray when you left us You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you And said, "Come unto Me." Forever in our Memories.

Janet, Terry & family I am sorry to hear of your loss, it is never an easy time. My husband lost his mom and brother within the last year, so we know what you are going through. I remember our time working at social services and our lunches together after you moved onto another job. You are in my thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Elaine Thidrickson (nee Sherrer) (Previous coworker) on: Dec 17, 2017
