EILEEN RUBY (SANGSTER) WARNICK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Ruby (Sangster) Warnick, in Sidney, BC, on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Eileen was 96 years of age and is survived by her sons, Robert (Linda) and Kenneth (Jane); grandchildren, Stuart, Jeffery (Carrie), Jason (Andrea), Douglas, David (Joanna); great-grandchildren, Nolan, Madeline, Zachary, Tristan, Kyle, Dakota, Jackson, Chase and Cruz; and niece Val and nephew Gord (Linda). Eileen was predeceased by her husband Charles (Bill) Stanley, mother: Ruby, brothers: Reg, Raymond, Robert, Norman and sister Thelma. Eileen was born in November 1, 1921 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She spent 35 years growing up in Winnipeg, where she met Bill and they were married in February of 1944. Then the family moved to Edmonton in 1956 when Bill was transferred with Texaco. After several years in Edmonton and a few in Mississauga, Eileen and Bill settled down in Victoria in 1987, building their dream home in Cordova Bay in 1988. In January 2015, Mom moved to Sidney All Care. While Eileen had worked part-time at Eaton's during her younger years, her main focus was as a Homemaker for her two sons and eventually helping out with the grandchildren. The smile that Mom, Grandma, Great- Grandmother possessed will be missed by the family and friends. The family would like to thank Sydney All Care (3rd Floor Staff) for their care and especially Melanie and the staff from Home Instead for their Caregiving support over the past number of years.
