Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Tim, The news of your sister's passing caught me by surprise. I want to convey my deepest sympathy on the loss of your sister. Life ends, but love is eternal. Mona MacKay - Jan 13 - Posted by: Mona () on: Jan 13, 2018

  • Kathy is truly my miracle. At Frontiers Manitoba, I was desperately in need of an assistant who knew how to do books, I was swamped. I had just been praying for a book-keeper and then not even 5 minutes later my computer binged that I had an email. It was Kathy saying she had decided to leave NACC and did I know anyone that needed a good book-keeper. She was hired on the spot. We became so much more than colleagues...friends, confidants, and sisters in Christ. I love her and will miss her greatly. Have many happy memories. Travel well friend, I'll see you again. - Posted by: Laurel Gardiner (Friend) on: Dec 24, 2017

  • My condolences to the family and friends of Kathy, I worked with her when she was employed with the Northern Association of Community Council's and I with the Department of Northern Affairs. She was a women who was always approachable and treated everyone with kindness and concern. Go rest high on that mountain Kathy your job here on this earth is done and you can now rest peacefully. - Posted by: Karen Barker (friend/co-worker) on: Dec 23, 2017

  • I was saddened to learn of Kathy's passing. She would not have remembered me, but I remembered her...cute as a button with a beautiful smile & dimples! She & Belinda (Binda) were just little girls at the time. I met the family through our friends & neighbours (the Knotts, who were cousins of the Frisk family), & remember them all very well. I became close friends with her brother, Eric, & have many fond memories of hanging out with him, my sister Norma, & his cousins, the Knotts, over the years. My heartfelt condolences go to the family. May your memories of Kathy give you strength in the difficult days ahead, & may her spirit find peace. - Posted by: Sharon Franco (Johnstone) (Family Friend) on: Dec 18, 2017

  • I first met Kathy about 5 yrs ago and was immediately struck by how kind and sweet she was. She was always concerned on how everyone was doing and their comfort. She always loved her family and was proudly telling us about her place where she volunteered at and where she worked at. She loved getting together with other family members and friends as well. I don't ever remember seeing her without a smile on her face. Her love for her community and Metis people continue to inspire me to always remember my own people and community here as well. I will always miss her, will always love her and her family. May you rest peacefully in God's loving arms Kathy...your pain is done. - Posted by: Victoria Virgin (friend) on: Dec 18, 2017
