He leaves behind the love of his life, Sandra, son Brian (Melody), daughter Karen, family pet Ranger, grandchildren Kyle (Kayla), Brianne (Curtis), Riley and Kayla and Avi (Danyel), great-grandchildren Fynlee and a baby boy arriving in April. He will be missed by his very good friends Ken Mary and Jason Butchart, niece Rosemary Osborne and family, sister-in-law Nancy Williamson and family in Belfast, and numerous friends met in his 75 years. Victor was predeceased by his father, Sydney Seaton, mother Kathleen Thouburn, sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and David French, and son-in-law Brad Little. At the time of his passing Victor was surrounded by his family. Victor spent many years working as an electrician at CN to provide a life for his family after immigrating from Belfast in 1967. Victor started his love for music in Belfast playing with The Kardinals, then after moving to Winnipeg he continued his passion playing with The Irish Stew and The Copy Cats. He enjoyed watching his weekly soccer matches, but most of all time surrounded by his family, especially the grandchildren. Most recently the winters were spent in Ranchero Village in Texas where many special friendships were created from both sides of the border. The service will take place on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow at The Royal Canadian Legion Transcona Branch #7, 117 Regent Ave East. A private interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. L. Reynolds, the CancerCare Manitoba staff and Palliative home care staff. Our family has had the pleasure of knowing the Seaton family for most of our lives. Such beautiful people. They treasure family and friends more than anything else. Watching their family grow and seeing their close relationships are at tribute to the wonderful job Vic and Sandra have done as parents. They all are spicy, passionate, and good people.Vic was always a very busy guy! Always puttering around his yard. We had so many lovely chats sitting on the front step or talking over the fence. I loved seeing his garage door open as I knew he was busy at work. I always wonder what he was up to. I was home with my children when they were young he would often laugh at the gong show going on next door. These moments helped me realize that my children were going through a phase. We were growing up together. His gentle manner helped calm me when I wanted to pull out my hair. He often reassured me.He had a beautiful smile. He was always ready to help with anything. Our hearts hurt for your loss. Our whole family feels truly blessed to have these wonderful people in our lives. Know that we are thinking about you. Know that we are always just next door. Take care of your hearts. Love always, Kim, Jeff, Sam, and Zac Szyszkowski - Posted by: Kim and Jeff Szyszkowski (Friends and neighbors) on: Dec 21, 2017

One of the nearest dearest friends that I have had in my life time. Vic was always there for me at work or play. A great curling teammate on the ice or after the game. A great loss to all and Val and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to all the family. By our experience time in itself will be a help in healing the loss of our great family man and friend.. - Posted by: Boyd Kramble (Fried) on: Dec 20, 2017
