Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE ANDERSON (nee BEZDIETNY) May 16, 1940 - December 19, 2017 Peacefully, on December 19, 2017, surrounded by family, Jeannette Anderson passed away at Riverview Palliative Care. Jeannette will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Gerry, children, David Bogucki (Kim); Lori Owen (Ed); grandson Robert (the love of her life); and three stepchildren, Darren (Kim), Lori (Mike), and Patty (Alex), and six stepgrandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dolores (Mike), brother Richard (Ann), sister-in-law Phillyis, brother-in-law Ted (Helen), and two uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Stan Bogucki in 1983. Her parents (both deceased) were Bernard Bezdietny and Nellie Litwin. Jan was an outstanding teacher with a Bachelor of Education. She taught at John Taylor Sturgeon Creek and Windsor Park Collegiates in Winnipeg and finished teaching at Gimli, Arborg, and Riverton in the Evergreen School Division until her retirement. After her retirement, they spent many winters in Palm Springs, California. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, reading, travelling, curling and golfing, and her passion for gardening was particularly evident in the beautiful flowers in her backyard. The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital and Riverview Palliative Care facility, who all contributed to her care. A service will be held to honour Jeannette's life on Thursday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow at the adjacent Assumption Cemetery. Donations in Jeannette's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
