CAROLE ANNE MCLEAN On Monday, December 18, 2017, with her family at her side, Carole passed away after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Left to lovingly remember Carole are her children Sheri (David) and Jayson (Kim); grandchildren Kara (a.k.a. Dolly) and Matthew; and many other extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, mother husband and brother. Carole was born in Winnipeg, residing in the west end. After graduation from Red River College, she held various part-time office jobs while raising her children. Later, she enjoyed many years of employment with Clinique Cosmetics, where she met her dear friend, Mary. Carole volunteered at Sargent Park School and the St. James Seals Swim Club. She spent many summers at Spruce Sands RV Resort in Arnes, Manitoba. In retirement, she enjoyed going to the Manitoba Theatre Centre and travelling with family and life-long friends, Darlene and Fern, to places like New Zealand, Europe, and Mexico while taking several trips to Las Vegas for shopping and shows. Carole took a couple of Caribbean Cruises and she spent her 60th birthday in New York City with her daughter and granddaughter, a place she always wanted to see. A private, family inurnment was held on Friday, December 22, 2017. The family would like to thank the friends and family that offered support throughout her illness, as well as the staff at Riverview Health Centre, with special gratitude to Paul, Connie, Ola, Tony and Barb, who were exceptional. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I am so sorry to hear of Carole's passing. I worked with Carole and Mary at Clinique at the Bay downtown. Whenever I think of Carole I hear her laugh. It was infectious and Carole was always quick to laugh. She cared very deeply about the important things in life, family and friends and she saw the humor in everything else. It was a lesson I carry with me to this day. My heart goes out to Carole's family at this sad time but I hope that they can take some solace in knowing that Carole touched many people and that hers was a life well lived.
