PAULINE SENKO March 7, 1922 - December 16, 2017 With deep sadness, we announce that Pauline Senko passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Concordia Hospital with her daughters by her side. Pauline is survived by her daughters -Marilyn Connors, Marcie McLean, Kathy McDonald and son-in-law Kenn McDonald, along with eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike Senko, parents - Metro and Rose Maz, sisters - Gladys Stanchuk, Marie Runke, and sons-in-law - Ron Connors and Gordon McLean. Mom was born and raised in Angusville, Manitoba and lived there until she moved to Newdale with her husband and children in 1959. After the death of her husband, Mom moved to Winnipeg in 1974. Mom had a few careers - teacher, hotel owner and unit clerk at St. Boniface Hospital. She retired in 1989 when she spent several years travelling to different parts of the world. In later life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and experienced great joy in watching her grandchildren become successful adults and marveling at her great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street in Winnipeg. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the nursing staff and doctors at Concordia Hospital, especially those on Unit 1 North. Their care and compassion helped our family through a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mom's memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
