EVELYN IRENE CRITTENDEN (nee HERRON) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Left to cherish Evelyn's memory are her husband of 57 years, Harold Aitken Crittenden; daughter, Laurie Crittenden with granddaughter, Sarah Farrington; and son, Robert Crittenden with his wife Marianne, and grandsons Simeon and Adrian. She was predeceased by her parents Doris and Gordon Herron and her sister, Marian Copeland. Evelyn was born December 8, 1938; she grew up in Montreal, Quebec. During the first few years of marriage, Harold and Evelyn were transferred to many cities across Canada. They started in Quebec City, Burlington, St. John, and Regina, before finally residing in Winnipeg, since 1970. Over her life, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. One of her best friends, other than her husband, was her sister Marian, with whom she could talk to daily and for hours. Summers at Miller's campground and regular breakfasts out, gave her more opportunity to meet with others. Even people she met years ago through college, relocations, volunteering with Kinettes or while on winter vacations were still in communication. If Evelyn wasn't out visiting, she could be found beside her husband, playing a game of Yahtzee, finishing a Sudoku, or watching the Winnipeg Jets take another win. Although, her physical life has come to an end, she will live on in our hearts. We will see you again. As per her wishes, her body is being cremated. A memorial will be held at a later date.
