  • I still cannot believe Eugene is gone, or as I called him at C.F. ""HOO-GENIE"" as he definitely brightened work when he would come in for his shift @ 0830AM. I would start at 0600 a.m. and plan my coffee break for 0815a.m. so I could sit with him and some of the other guys. Eugene was first of all -- a total gentleman and such a good listener and speaker. He would have myself and him laughing every single day with his comical comments. I was so saddened to read his notice in the paper a few weeks ago, but to see his picture has brought me to tears as he will be missed SO VERY VERY VERY MUCH BY SO MANY PEOPLE. I doubt there is a person he met that did not gravitate to him. He went on sick leave about a year before I went on sick leave from C.F. and I would think of him so often and tell my husband many, many stories that he told us. Hoo-genie, I am so thankful to the Good Lord that you are now free-of-pain as you were too good of a man to suffer. Kathy and the kids/g.kids must be devastated to lose you and the only thing keeping so many of us together through this is knowing we will be seeing you when, WE ARE CALLED HOME. TAKE CARE BUDDY AND SAY HELLO TO BERGY FOR ME AND WATCH OVER YOUR FAMILY AS THEY WILL BE SO LOST WITHOUT YOU. YOU MADE COMING TO WORK A BRIGHTER TIME AND FOR THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE THANKFUL TO YOU. TTFN AND TAKE CARE... THE WORLD IS A SADDER PLACE NOW AND NOT AS BRIGHT AS IT ONCE WAS WHEN YOU SHONE IN SO MANY LIVES!!!! KEEP ON TRUCKING KIDDO.... - Posted by: Dianne Mandryk Spry (Former co-worker) on: Jan 03, 2018
