RAMONA (MENCHIE) QUINTANA CARGANILLA 1932 - 2017 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ramona Carganilla, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the age of 85 years. She was born on March 28, 1932 in Corregidor, Cavite, Philippines. Ramona loved having her family around her and spending time with them. She also enjoyed word search puzzles and occasional trips to the casino. Ramona was predeceased by her loving daughter, Susan, her parents Maxima and Fortunato, and her siblings Buddy and Federica. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dionisio Carganilla, of 62 years, and her daughters: Judy (Andy), Yolly (Remigio), Josie, Thelma (Allen) and Geraldine, son-in-law Danny, and sisters, Lolita and Beth. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Joan, Lean, Dazel, Renz (Allan), Jorey, Charlene, Jen, Diane (Kishor), Randall (Justine), Jan, Don, Jerica, Steph, Mae and Jay-R, as well as her great-grandchildren: Redd, Miley, Bam, Ella, Rahda and Aveya. Ramona's family would also like to thank relatives, friends, and the home care workers for all their help. Lamay (viewing) will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 365 Burnell St., with Father Dado Parrenas officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue with reception to follow.
