My deepest sympathies to Carla and her family. I was so shocked and saddened by the news of Earl's passing. He was a very important part of my life as he always encouraged me to take on responsibilities at work and was quick to compliment for hard work and accomplishments. He was a joy to work for as he always saw the humour in situations - good or bad. I always thought he was a unique person and a personification of the old adage "they broke the mold when he was born". The world is a sadder place since his passing. - Posted by: Shirley Rathwell (Former employee and friend) on: Jan 04, 2018

Joy and I were so shocked and sadden to hear of Earl's passing. My deepest condolences to you and the family. While Earl and I never saw that much of each other when we were growing up, he was always very kind and thoughtful to me and the family in these later years. I was particularly touched by his and your family's attendance at my mother's (Dora) funeral. That meant a lot to me. I wish you well and hope you know that others are praying for you and your loved ones in this difficult time. - Posted by: David Abrams (cousin) on: Jan 02, 2018

Ricki and I bring our condolences to Earl's family. He and I were almost exactly the same age, were friends as kids, and were enrolled at the same time in the CA program and used to study together. Our son Jeff and Earl's son Jordan played tier hockey together at River Heights so Earl and I renewed old acquaintances during those few years. Earl was a dynamic, fun loving and entertaining person. He will be greatly missed. Gary Miles - Posted by: Gary Miles (Old friiend) on: Dec 30, 2017

I knew Earl when we were about 10 years old; when his family first moved onto Yale Avenue and I lived about a block away on Harvard. Saw him at the 2012 Kelvin reunion and we had a very nice conversation reminiscing about the "old" days. Always laughing and with great stories to tell. Sad to see him pass. R.I.P. Earl. - Posted by: Barry Blick (Friend, school chum.) on: Dec 29, 2017

I met Earl last year at Glendale. I always looked forward to seeing him Saturday and Sunday mornings. Always laughing, smiling, enjoying life. I regret not being able to get out for a round together. He will be missed around the golf course. - Posted by: Chris Mead (Friend) on: Dec 28, 2017
