Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD JACOB WIEBE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Reginald Jacob Wiebe, on December 20, 2017. He was a loving husband to Ingrid, father to Casey and Ezra (Susanne), son of Martha, son-in-law of Adri, brother to Cory ( Barry), Eleanor (Pete) and Randy (Gerrie), brother-in-law to Gea and Cees (Ariënne), uncle to many nieces and nephews, and friend to many. Reggie was born in Winnipeg on January 23, 1962, to Martha and Jacob (predeceased) Wiebe. He was a happy, easy child and continued this throughout his life. Reg grew up in the St. James neighbourhood. In his teens, he was involved in the First Mennonite Church youth choir and served as the Grade 12 president of student council at Silver Heights Collegiate. After finishing high school, he travelled to the Netherlands for a year. This is where he met the love of his life, Ingrid Otto, in 1981 with marriage following in 1985. They stayed in Winnipeg for a few years and had their first son, Casey, in 1988. They moved to the Netherlands having their second son, Ezra, in 1993. He was an entrepreneur, which took him into the pizza delivery business. Reg had a passion for golf, lake life with family, fishing and especially curling. He became a well- known mentor, teacher and champion for curling in the Netherlands and Europe. He was looking forward to being a participant in the upcoming historical 2018 MCA bonspiel, which was on his bucket list. Reg will be missed in every aspect of our lives. He had a love for life with a positive, friendly disposition and remained a kid at heart throughout life. A memorial will happen in Winnipeg at a date to be determined.

Oh My Lord: I just left a message on Jake's notice, and thought I would try googling Reg too. So very shocked to hear this. Please check my post on Mr. Wiebe's notice, to see how I knew Jake and Reg. Very sad even all these years later to find this news. My condolences to Ingrid and family. I met you Ingrid a few times when Reg came by Whytewold Gulf with you. I think often of my time in Winnipeg and working for Jake was certainly a big part of it. Reg was only a year older than me. My condolences. Steve B.
