Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MARGERY WEISS Mary Margery Weiss, aged 100, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2017 at Misericordia Place, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Margery was born on December 13, 1917 in Winnipeg and she was the second child of Karl and Alice (Galt) Weiss. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, George and Karl, and sister Maryon. Margery is survived by her sister Pam (Agius), of Ottawa and brother David, of Winnipeg, as well as 15 nieces and nephews and their families. Margery served as a Flight Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War from October 1941 until November 1945. She was a woman entrepreneur and started Educational Film Distributors in Canada and operated the company from 1958 and into the early 1970s. Margery was an avid traveller inspiring other family members to do likewise. She managed to visit 49 countries in 39 years. She enjoyed nature, especially at her home in Academy Hill, near Grafton, Ontario and at the family cottage on Galt Island at Lake of the Woods. A memorial mass celebrating Margery's life will be held on Friday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish, at 252 Dubuc Street and interment will follow at the family plot at St. Mary's Roman Cemetery at 520 Osborne Street.
