FLORENCE (FLO) MAE TERRY (nee BERNHARDT) September 4, 1939 - December 21, 2017 Surrounded by the love of her family, her beloved husband of 60 years, Del, called upon her to join him in heaven to continue their journey. Mom was predeceased by her parents Maria and Philip, her sisters Jacqueline, Alma (Jack), Violet, Doris (Eddie) and Emily (Joe). She will be lovingly and deeply missed by her children Kim (Craig), Marty (Hilda) and Donna, eight grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Cory (Kelsey), Alyssa (Darcy), Myranda, Syrena, Joshua and Rybecca, and seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Kylie, Kaiden, Brennen, Liam, Cody and Ava. She is survived by her brothers Gordon (Bonnie) and Clifford (Bev), sister Eileen, sister-in-law Margaret, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom also leaves broken hearted Darcie (Brad) Ineck and family, and Teresa (Doug) Gibbens. In her younger days, Mom worked as a cashier for various companies including Brownstones, K-mart and D'Allairds. She was the best stay at home mom and lived for her children. Her love of children also encompassed many years of being a Foster Mom, babysitter, Y-Neighbours and lunchroom supervisor at Kent Road School. Kids absolutely adored her. Mom was a fierce bargain hunter and enjoyed boutique shopping, garage sales, and her many trips to Grand Forks. Mom enjoyed doing crosswords, crocheting, find a words and maintaining a year round tan. Mom had a great sense of humour, was friendly with everyone and was always the "Belle of the Ball". Our Mom was the glue that held this family together. The exceptional love she had for her three children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was unsurpassed. Special thanks to Cynthia, Reena and Anita for their excellent care and support of our mom and our family. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman Ave. with Pastor Schoubye officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. Mom, we were not only happy, but blessed to give back to you what you always provided to us.
