JOHN DIACHUN June 17, 1938 - January 3, 2018 John Diachun, loving husband of Anne Diachun, passed away suddenly January 3, 2018 to be with his Lord and Saviour. He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his devoted wife Anne, sons Derald (Annie), Doug (Teresa and her family), granddaughters Brittaney (Jason) and Chantel, and his sister Anna Diachun. John was predeceased by his parents, Roman and Annie Diachun, parents-in-law, Rev. Karp and Annie Hrycauk, brother Peter, and sister Mary Klimek. John was born in Gimli, Manitoba and as an adult settled in Winnipeg. He retired from the Post Office after 31 years of service. John was a generous man who lived his faith, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Union Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 1073 Stn. Main, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2X4. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave Street, with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. John 3:16

  • My favourite story about Uncle John has to do with my daughter Kimberly when she was little. Uncle John would get on his hands and knees with Kim on his back. He was her horsey and John would take Kim on a ride.
