GARY VERMEULEN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Garwill 'Gary' Joseph Gordon Vermeulen on Thursday, January 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert Louis Vermeulen and Elizabeth Celeste McPhee; sister Shirley Atkins of MB; and son Jamie Vermeulen. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Bernadette and is lovingly remembered by his son Todd Vermeulen; daughter Kelly Vermeulen Jackson (Layne); grandchildren, Kieran, Kennedy, Aidan and Jacey; brother Phil Vermeulen and family of Winnipeg, MB; as well as stepbrother Allan McPhee of BC. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Unit 4A at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassion and care. Sincere thanks as well to the staff of the main wing at Extendicare Parkside for the genuine care provided. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Chapter, PO Box 309, Saskatoon, SK S7K 3L3.
