MARILYN JEANNIE CORRIGAL (nee PENNIE) Peacefully with her children at her side on January 6, 2018. Predeceased by: husband Donald Corrigal, mother, father, sister Donna Bell, and brother Jim Pennie. Leaves to mourn three children: Cheryl Macdonald, John (Lena) Corrigal and Donna (Dennis) Desmarais, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sisters, Judy (Craig) Smith and Jackie (Georgette) Pennie, numerous nieces and nephews, special confidant, niece Marilyn Tomchuk, and special, lifelong friend Betty Stokes. Mom worked the majority of her career in Medical Material Management both at the Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom was very proud of the fact that she was sought after to take on the challenge of managing the department when Seven Oaks opened; she took early retirement in 1990. Mom loved her Winnipeg sports teams, a long time Bombers season ticket holder with husband Don at the old stadium. In recent years if it was on TV, Mom was watching the game, the Bombers, the Jets, the Goldeyes. She would have made a great GM as she would critique each and every game. Mom loved her Scrabble and played games that could take a day or more to finish with her mother Doris. As per Marilyn's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The True North Foundation. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Deepest condolences to the entire family. I have memories of Marilyn and Donnie from my youth hanging out with my mom and Dennis. Our families were so close that I was even lent A wedding dress for my wedding. She was a wonderful woman and I’m sure that words can’t describe your grief but know she is with you all always. - Posted by: Michelle Harron (Friend of the family) on: Jan 14, 2018

  • Sorry to see this notice. Although I met you girls {Cheryl and Donna} at the hospital I could tell you loved her very much and I just knew she was a very special woman. Cheryl please take care of Donna. And please hug each other and consider it from me..... - Posted by: Terry (acquaintance) on: Jan 14, 2018
