GISELE (DOLLY) FINDLAY (nee LAVALLEE) Gisele (Dolly) Marie Findlay passed away at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on January 8, 2018, at the age of 67. Dolly is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Bill, son Shannon (Nancy), sister Paulette Wiebe (Wally), brothers Ron (Venetia), Robert and Arnold (Lucienne), her dearest grandson Ethan, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. She is preceded in death by brother Gerard (Chubby), stepsister Antoinette (Toni) Hari, and stepbrothers Raymond and Cyril Lavallee. Dolly was born on August 18, 1950, at St. Boniface Hospital, to Patrick and Delphine Lavallee (nee Guiboche). Her childhood was spent in St. Laurent, MB and she moved to Winnipeg in her late teenage years. Dolly worked hard for everything she earned, completing her GED and Health Care Aide training. She worked for the Manitoba government for nearly 30 years as a health care aide. After many years of love and laughs together, she married Bill in 1983. They enjoyed years of camping, card nights, road trips, golfing, movie nights, family dinners, love and laughter. Dolly had a great sense of humour and kept everyone in stitches, often at her own expense. She also enjoyed crocheting items for her family and friends as well as going to bingo and playing her computer games. A special thank you goes out to all Grace Hospital ICU attending doctors and staff in her time of need. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow. A small interment ceremony is planned for this summer. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dolly's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.
