SHIRLEY GERALDINE WATT (nee TOMSIC) Today would have been your 80th birthday mom and not a day goes by that your laugh, your love and your song are not remembered by those whose hearts still bear your fingerprints; whose souls have been shaped by the legacy of selflessness, talents and lessons that you left behind. Though death took you from us well before the appointed hour, you remain ever with us; through the refreshing waves that effaced your footprints upon the shore or the warm rays that also bore your final sunset, yet you are there. Whenever the crow cackles or the peacock cries, a part of you endures. In the smell of a strudel or the taste of a tachky, our beloved nannie lives on for today. May eternal rest continue to grant you the deserved peace that eluded you in life, while we know that the day will soon come when we will rejoice with you, even as we now rejoice in your memory. And in God's house forevermore, our dwelling place shall be. Siyahamba Shalyshku.
