FRANCOIS RENE PAMBRUN May 22, 1928 - January 6, 2018 After spending two and a half years "dans un petit coin du ciel" being cared for with the utmost compassion, patience, love and tenderness by Desneiges and Gilles Roy, Papa was brought "home" to finish his journey on earth with the love of his life, Denise and his family he so cherished. On Saturday, January 6, 2018, the Lord said "Francois my precious angel, your time has come, everything I asked of you and more, you have done". Wrapped with love and compassion in the arms of family, the angels and archangels took Francois into their arms and carried him with tenderness home to eternal life. Waiting there for him was his father Henri, mother Marie (Gaudry) and many other family members. On May 22, 1928 when Francois was born, little did his parents know that this little boy the Lord gave them would become the kindest and most compassionate individual who would spend his entire life devoted to caring for others. On October 14, 1950, Francois married his best friend Denise Guay from St. Eustache and they would go on to live a full life with countless blessings. God was an important and active part of the everyday life of the Pambrun/Guay family and strong morals were instilled. From their first home on rue Guay; to summer vacations at Plage Albert; to building a new home on rue Brebeuf which became the hub of countless family gatherings as well as an open door to anyone; to the opening of Pam's Chicken Inn in Windsor Park; to their many travel destinations; to their 27 years of wintering in Texas; to celebrating their "67th wedding anniversary" this past fall ... all these memories created a unique story for our family. It did not take long for his children, Jean-Marie (Barb), Daniel (Ginette), Rene (Jo-Anne), Desneiges (Gilles), Henri (Barb), Gilles (Doris), Guy (Sandra) and Louise (Rejean), along with the 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren to realize their Papa/Pepere/Grand-Pepere was no ordinary man. His spiritual nature produced love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faith towards his family and friends. How blessed we, his family are to have had Francois as our Papa/Pepere/Grand-Pepere! The loss of our Papa/Pepere/Grand-Pepere leaves an incredible void and aching in our hearts but with the support of one another we will find strength. We find comfort in knowing we had him with us for so many years and his memories will remain engraved in our hearts as his journey on earth ends but the gift of God's eternal life embraces him. A huge "thank you" to the entire staff at Action Marguerite on River Road who cared for Papa and continue to care for our Maman daily. It comes as no surprise that Papa blessed every resident and staff member he came into contact with daily! A private celebration of his precious life will take place at a later date.
