JENNIFER MARY MCEWAN (nee TAYLOR) On January 6, 2018, at the age of 56, with her family by her side, Jenny lost her long battle with lymphoma after several recent hospital stays. Predeceased by her mother Jean Taylor, she survived by her husband of 33 years, Malcom, son Ben (Kaylee), daughter Lindsey (Donovan), and grandsons Chase and Fisher. Family was very important to Jenny and she went on with how proud she was of Ben, Lindsey and her grandchildren, and how they brought so much joy into her life. She had recently retired from a long career at Great West Life where she had many long term friendships Jenny enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time at the lake and winter vacations south with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed a girl's trip she took to Europe. She was sure to have a glass of wine in hand at many gatherings on the bay with the Santa and Babcock families, or with her sister-in-law Liz who she was very close with. A celebration of her life will be held at Canad Inns Windsor Park (1034 Elizabeth Rd.) on January 17 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

Jen was a great big sister...growing up she shared a room with me...walked me to school daily..babysat me...and guided me thru teen years! She was my matron of honour when married as well. I looked up to her for her kindness and love she had for family and friends! The day she moved West with Malcom was one of the saddest days for me that was over 30 years ago. God put our Angel to rest to watch over her loved ones and be at peace. My heart is with Malcom Ben and Lyndzy as i can't be ..ill miss my big sister but always remeber she was there for me when i needed her and will see her on the other side when its my time. Rest peacefully sis and thanks for being the wonderful sister you were will miss you till the end of time xoxoxo - Posted by: Roxanne Taylor (Baby sister) on: Jan 16, 2018

Still so hard to believe. I worked with Jenny for many years, she was my co-worker but more so a good friend. Anyone that knew Jenny, knows that she enjoyed having fun, was a hard worker, a thoughtful friend and loved her family. She will be dearly missed.
