  • My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. It is truly a profound loss. I met Dave in 01 working at Carlos and Murphy's. It didn't take long for our friendship to begin. He was a big brother, mentor and friend. We spent a tremendous amount of time just being boys. Golfing, fishing, playing hockey and always hoisting a couple cold ones and laughing about life and situations that our many adventures got us into. I travelled with Dave on many fishing trips and to Mexico. I will never forget his infectious laugh. It always roused myself and all those around him into a better mood and state of mind. We lost touch in the last few years unfortunately. Life, families and distance will do that, but he has never been far from my thoughts. Dave will be missed every day and loved forever. God bless you Dave. Cheers! - Posted by: Barry Westerlund (Freind) on: Jan 16, 2018

  • To the Bayluk family my deepest sympathy, I’m sorry for your loss. I know those words are inadequate, but I am truly sorry for what you’re experiencing right now. I have not spoken to Dave for quite some time, but when we were young, the boys known as the "Wolfpack" were inseparable. We had so many wonderful memories together that always make me laugh. Unfortunately, it is a sad experience like this that make us think about those happy times and reminds me of a poem. "What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you are gone from this earth, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too wonderful to forget" To the entire Bayluk family, I wish you peace and strength during this difficult time. - Posted by: Frankie Vassallo ((Friend(and fellow Wolfpack member))) on: Jan 16, 2018

  • My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Bayluk family. I grew up at the other end of Southall Dr. and although Dave and I were not close friends we both knew who the other was when we met up a few years ago in Selkirk. We had a good chat about the 'old days' and all the neighbors and friends from our childhood. - Posted by: Karen (Mulla) Schultz (Southall Dr. Neighbor) on: Jan 15, 2018

  • To the entire Bayluk family my deepest sympathy and so sorry for your loss. Though i have not seen Dave in many, many, years we shared some great moments together as teenagers, hockey players, and young adults finding our way in this world. Dave was a good guy and always had a quick one liner or humor to make us laugh. As teenagers, Dave, Chad, Frankie, Derek, Bert, Rene and I formed a club called the WolfPACK, ordered club jackets and wore them around town, had limited membership, and the motto was to have a good time an enjoy life! He is gone way to soon and will be missed. Regards Tim Peabody - Posted by: Tim Peabody (Friend(and fellow Wolfpack)) on: Jan 15, 2018

  • I have good memories of some days on the golf course and at the lake with Dave. One Summer I gave him some golf lessons at Pine Ridge and on one of the lessons we spent an hour on the putting green where someone’s car alarm went off the whole time. Dave was particularly annoyed as he couldn’t focus on his putting (the alarm was very loud). After an hour we were done with the lesson and to listening to the annoying alarm so we zipped over to where he had parked only to find out it was his car alarm going off and we had a good laugh. Another story involed us golfing at Bel Acres with a NHL player that duffed his tee shot, threw his club, then quit and left. Dave said the least he could’ve done was paid us for the $20 bet we made on the game before he left. RIP Dave - Posted by: Dave Bastable (Friend) on: Jan 13, 2018
