Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKELLY FOX (born: CAROL JUDITH SEDIK) Well, I thought I'd live forever and who knows, maybe this is how it's done. It all started on May 17, 1941 when I was born in Selkirk, Manitoba to John and Julia Sedik, and it ended peacefully on January 8, 2018, in hospice care at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Thunder Bay. In my 76 years, I have laughed and cried, played the piano and wrote children's books just for my grandson. I've had adventures travelling to many places in the United States, Western Canada and Newfoundland. I've even kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland. I was a pretty good banker and damn good farmer. I loved animals and they loved me. We had a special connection and they would do anything for me. I have also performed on stage and lived as an artiste. I've created characters, art and poetry. I grew tomatoes like nobody's business and baked a perfect loaf of bread. If I had to guess, my family would describe me as unique, quirky, smart and independent. Certainly not stubborn though. No way. They would however say they love me dearly and will miss me as much as I will miss them. I would like to say Bon Voyage to my daughter Lenore Lotecki, my son Toby Lotecki and grandson Chase Lotecki, my daughter Nancy Lotecki and son-in-law Peter Neely, my sister Pat Cortens and nephew David John (DJ) Roberts and wife Mona. My death was preceded by my parents, John and Julia Sedik. I do not want a funeral service. My family will have a nice party for me when the weather warms up. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favourite charity. Thank you to the the ICU staff at the Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora, the ICU and 2C staff at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and the hospice staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their excellent care and compassion over the last few months. Special thank you to the health care staff who have become my friends over the years, my supportive housing workers and supervisor, my family physician and pharmacist. Thank you all. Please don't cry for me, instead be happy that I lived a good life and was loved by many (ok, you can cry a little). I am happy and I am dancing. Probably naked. Remember, Kasari and me, we're free. All my love. Kelly, Queen of the Great Poultry Republic. Online condolences may be made at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com BROWN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE ENTRUSTED WITH ARRANGEMENTS.
