ANDRE MAURICE EULITERUS ALPHONSE ANSEEUW 1934 - 2018 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Andre who left us unexpectedly on January 17, 2018, at the age of 83, with his wife, Gwen, and family by his side. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life of 58 years, Gwen, four children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren: Kevin - Tracey Anseeuw (Kyle and Eric); Terrance Anseeuw - Gayle Gordon (Brandy - Sean Sylvestre [Jaxon and Brielle], Corbin); Kimberly - Jim Peters (Riley Chumola and fiancée Karlie Johnson, Alexa); and Michelle - Samuel Kidd. Andre grew up on the family farm in Oak Bluff, MB with his parents, Hector and Magdelena and siblings. He was predeceased by his siblings Laurent, Joseph, Malvina and survived by Mary, Anna, Gerard and Peter. Andre attended school in Oak Bluff and upon graduating attended The University of Manitoba where he obtained his Agriculture diploma. His early years were spent living and working on the family dairy farm alongside his father and siblings. Andre and Gwen were married June 25, 1959. They continued to farm, started a family, and later ventured off to their own farm a few miles down the road. Andre also worked as a licensed industrial mechanic at the Petro-Canada propane plant, just a mile from home. Many happy years followed and great memories were made - summers at the cottage at Twin Beaches, MB, landscaping and gardening, winters in Arizona, and always, everywhere, forever dancing with Gwen. Dad, we are forever grateful for your wisdom, constant support, unconditional love, great sense of humour, and the biggest hugs. Mom wants you to know that we are all ''together forever". We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Isabelle Bossuyt, the first responders, and all the medical staff at the St. Boniface and Seven Oaks Hospitals who showed the utmost compassion and care for Dad during his last days - for this we are truly thankful. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Andre to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive with Father Joshua Gundrum. Interment will follow at a later date.

  • I was so saddened by this news. I work for a doctor that Andre used to visit and a fond memory I have is Andre always bringing me in my favorite chocolate bar when he attended an appointment.
